I JUST made this braided bolt bracelet last night as a test. The materials are from a regular hardware store – the next time I just need to find the bolts in a gold tone instead and figure out a smart way to make a lock.

AND THE diy madness continues. Today I had an extra day off school and tried out a new version of the rope bracelet with my afternoon coffee. It turned out as a key ring/bag accessorie.

MY RECENT Etzy post, made me want to do some new Proenza Schouler inspired rope bracelets (read earlier DIY guide here) So Yesterday I picked up the supplies at my favorite chinese shop. I’ve added a braded string bracelet to this guide, but I guess you’ll have to know how to do macremé to follow this… (otherwise look it up on google/youtube)

AMONG OTHER usefull lessons. I love The Man Repeller’s guides on how to wear different trends, recycling your old wardrobe items, how to wear investment pieces etc. etc. Especially a Lessons in Layering is really inspiring. I really feel I could learn something in that area.

I LOVE the minty zebra/The Flintstones knit from Proenza Schouler, that Nicole Richie is wearing above and the way she is wearing it. It would pretty much blow my budget away though, so I’ve tried to create the look for less. The top is still from Proenza, but it’s the jersey one and the accessories are high street.
